Billy Kane bashes Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves roster with a stylish twist

Billy changed up his looks, but likely not his ways.

SNK is bringing Geese Howard’s right-hand Billy Kane back with a new, slick look in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, adding some additional grudge matches for the series’ return.

With Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves set to be a grounded fighter focused on continuing the story of the franchise with its first new entry since 1999, Billy Kane returns with a new trailer shown first at ChinaJoy 2024 in Shanghai.

You will have different ways to properly yourself.

Billy has taken the reins of the Howard Connection now that Geese is well and truly gone—though with Heihachi returning in Tekken 8, who knows how long that will last. Leading the syndicate, he plans to challenge this new era while still holding onto his grudge against Terry Bogard for what he did to Geese.

Using his classic staff and chain combo, Billy looks like he brings plenty of reach and flashy, flaming attacks to the CotW lineup. He also has a fresh new look that shows off his hair without his signature bandana or slick-backed style.

This is the 10th fighter revealed for CotW, following Kevin Rian making an appearance during Evo 2024 last week. Now we just have to wait and see if Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi, and Kain R. Heinlein will return, as they were also teased in some illustrations for the game alongside Billy.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is scheduled to release in 2025, and I have had the pleasure of playing it multiple times since it was first announced earlier this year. I will have multiple articles talking with developers from SNK and an updated hands-on article about CotW out soon, but if you can’t wait for that, you can read my first hands-on impressions and interview with director Hayato Konya and producer Yasuyuki Oda from back in March.
